The second edition of the Ferrero Challenger will be the final culmination of a few weeks of international tennis and kicking off the clay-court season in Europe.

The month of March is synonymous with high level tennis at the facilities of the JC Ferrero – Equelite academy. From the 19th of this month to the 7th of April three tournaments will be played, two of them of first level and international impact like the ITF Junior G1 and the Ferrero Challenger.

There will be three tournaments that will be played in four frantic weeks where more than 300 players from all corners of the world will meet. On March 13th will be held the presentation of all these tournaments in the esplanade of the Castle of Villena and it will be the start of the tennis month with the announcement of the posters of the tournaments.

The first tournament of this month will be the IX National Junior (19-23 March), which will award WCs to the Junior G1 ITF that will be held the following week, being a great incentive for all the players who compete for the draw.

During the week of March 25 to 31 will be the turn of the ITF Junior G1 Juan Carlos Ferrero, which will be the eighteenth edition of this prestigious tournament in which it is expected that this year has the best draw in the history of the tournament with all players of the tournament in the top100 and several top10. Undoubtedly, a very high level in the best international junior tournament in Spain where last year the Spanish Carlos Lopez Montagud managed to win the title in the men’s category.

The ending of this month and the most anticipated tournament will be the Ferrero Challenger (1-7 April), the most important tournament of the Valencian Community, which is celebrated for the second time after the total success of the previous edition in which the Spanish Pablo Andújar won the title in an excellent week where Alex de Minaur, Marco Cecchinato, Roberto Carballés, Jaume Munar and Felix Auger, among others, also shone.

There will also be different events for all audiences that will make the JC Ferrero – Equelite academy the nerve centre of tennis in the international scene. Among all of them, it has already been confirmed one of the star events that will be an exhibition match between David Ferrer and Juan Carlos Ferrero, the two best tennis players in the history of the Valencian Community. It will be a tremendous opportunity to honor David Ferrer for his career.
