Stunning tennis and results from our Equelite players
The month of August started with great results for Carlos Alcaraz in where he reached the final of the ATP 250 Croatia Open Umag. He lost the final to Jannik Sinner after a very close and intense battel.
Pablo Carreño Busta continued with amazing results by winning his first ATP 1000 Masters in Montreal. It was a stunning performance that Pablo showed during the road to the title.
Emilio Nava breaks into the ATP Top 200 for the first time in his career. With this milestone he is now into the ATP Division I (Elite). After this success Emilio Nava qualifies for the ATP 250 in Winston-Salem Open main draw. He beat ATP No. 95 Daniel Taro in three sets in the last round of the qualifying.
Darwin Blanch won the Kalamazoo College Tournament. By winning one of the most prestigious tournaments in the USA, he earns a WC for the US Open Junior main draw.
Bu Yunchaokete won the M25 in Tbilisi with a solid record of wining 6 finals out of 7.
Furthermore, The U16 team of Spain is European champion. They defeated Italy in the final with the decisive double winning the match tie break 17-15. We are very proud that our academy player Rafael Segado is part of that team.
Alejandro Manzanera reached his first professional semifinal at the ITF M15 Xativa, while Diego Augusto Barreto Sanchez made it into the quarterfinals. Alejandro Manzanera continued his great form by reaching the quarterfinals at the ITF M25 Santander. In the quarterfinals he lost in a close three set thriller against the number one seed.
In addition, our Equelite U14 team reached the semifinals of the U14 Spanish championships at the national stage. The team was represented by Hugo Tomas, Ivan Costa Lopez, Martin Cozar, Carlos Serrano and Charlie Senhauser.
Besides this, a number of Equelite players gathered trophies at the National tournament in Valencia. The two finals were a full out Equelite derby between Emilia Mimika and Moar Anu in which Emilia Mimika won. The other final was between Sol Junquera Martinez and Shruti Vasant in where Shruti Vasant emerged as the winner. The consolation draw was decided with Javier Gonzalez being the winner. Moreover, Ignacio Torres and Emma Maan reached the final of their category.
We finish off another successful month with Eva Guerrero reaching the semifinals of the ITF W25 Vigo. She lost the semifinals in a very close three set match against the number one seed.
